General Policies and Advice

All produce and flowers are grown organically. This means that we use compost and composted manure as soil amendments to increase the health of the soil but it also means that you should wash the fruit and vegetables before you consume them. It also means that you might find a little extra something in that bag of greens or in your berry basket in the form of a bug or a slug. Our ducks are excellent at pest control but sometimes something gets past them, or me as I'm packing the produce. This is to be expected and is a sign of the quality of the food you are choosing for you and your family.

Produce is picked at the peak of freshness and that freshness can fade quickly in the heat of summer. We perform quality checks throughout the weekend and are confident you will receive an incredible product. If you have issues, please reach out to hatchandbloomfarm@gmail.com

Our eggs are incredibly delicious! Our chickens, ducks and turkeys are free range and enjoy a diet of bugs and foliage, along with their grain. The eggs are fertile but washed and refrigerated. Be sure to cook eggs thoroughly.

The flower bouquets are picked and arranged for you mere hours before you take them home. The water in the jar has flower food to help prolong vase life and there are packets of flower food at the farm stand if you'd like to take one home for your vase. Change the water every day to get the maximum vase life from your flowers. If you feel your flowers weren't up to your expectations, please reach out to hatchandbloomfarm.@gmail.com
