Dahlia Tuber Sale Policy

Satisfaction Guarantee

We are excited to support you on your dahlia journey - they are such rewarding flowers and plants! We want you to be successful and have a great growing season! We guarantee your dahlia tuber will be true to type, and arrive in good condition with at least one visible eye. Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us within 7 days if you have any concerns. After 7 days, the buyer assumes full responsibility. Please note we cannot be responsible for damage due to pests, weather, growing or storage conditions, negligence, or plant performance. Any replacements or refunds will be at our discretion. 

Shipping:

Tuber shipping is available within the USA, to all states except Hawaii. Tubers will be shipped, via USPS, starting in April, or when the threat of freezing temperatures has passed. Shipping rates are as follows:

1-3 tubers = $10.00

4-20 tubers = $16.00

21+ tubers = FREE! 

Local On farm pickup:

You can save on the cost of shipping by coming to the farm to pick up your order April 26-27, 10:00am -  3:00pm. Our address is: 2821 12th Ave NE, Olympia. Please park next to the green field gate next to our farm stand.

Combining Multiple Orders:

If you place multiple orders and would like to combine them into one shipment, send an email to hatchandbloomfarm@gmail.com  with the order numbers you'd like combined. We will refund excess shipping costs, minus a $5 processing fee. 

Substitutions: 

Sometimes things go poorly during storage and we are unable to ship some or all of your order. If this occurs, we will reach out to determine if you would prefer a refund or offer a substitution if we can offer one. 

Dahlia Viruses

Dahlias viruses are sneaky, and unfortunately very common. The American Dahlia Society notes that 87% of dahlias that appear completely normal and healthy are actually infected with at least one virus. This means that even experts have difficulty diagnosing virus symptoms consistently without testing and a plant that looked healthy one year may start showing symptoms the next. 

We are not able to test every plant we grow and therefore cannot guarantee that every tuber is virus free. We do take extreme precautions: we bleach our tools and inspect every tuber every time we touch them, throwing anything suspicious in a sealed garbage bag. 

Strawberry, raspberry and boysenberry/tayberry/marionberry plants:

All berry starts are sold as bareroot and need to be planted or potted up within 24-hours of purchase. They come to you in damp soil or sawdust to keep their roots moist but they will go into shock with being transplanted and need to be watered daily for 10 days to ensure they are able to adapt to their new home. All plants are viable when delivered. Please inspect them and contact us within 7 days if you have any concerns. After 7 days, the buyer assumes full responsibility.
